This week's artwork of the week features Jack's most well known painting; The Singing Butler. The original oil on canvas was painted in 1992 and sold at auction in 2004 for £744,800. At the time this was a record for any Scottish painting and for any painting ever sold in Scotland. We can now offer for the first time this artwork as a Signed Limited Edition Print from the new Classic Collection. The picture depicts a couple dancing on the damp sand of a beach on the coast of Fife. To the left and right of the couple a maid and a butler hold up umbrellas to protect the couple from the rain. The Singing Butler has been exhibited next to works by Monet, Matisse and Lucian Freud.
