Ray Goldsbrough - Mercedes Maestro - Lewis Hamilton.
What an exciting final to this year's Grand Prix at Abu Dhabi yesterday. The last race of the season was the decider of the drivers' World Championship. The two in contention for the Championship were Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, both drive for Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton came to the race with the greater points but Nico Rosberg had the pole position after Saturday's qualifier. Lewis got off to an amazing start by taking the lead immediately and carried this lead to the finish to win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the 2014 World title. "This is the greatest day of my life," the new World Champion said. Lewis who also won the Championship in 2008 and becomes only the fourth Briton to win two world titles. "2008 was a great year in my life. The feeling I have now is way, way past that. The greatest feeling ever." Unfortunately because of mechanical failure on lap 23 Nico finished 14th and lost the fight for the title.
