Steven Jones - Two of a Kind.

Union Art is expanding, with even more fantastic new artists being added to our collection each week. Steven Jones is the latest artist to join us and we are delighted to introduce you to his stunning artwork. He specialises in beach scenes where he is inspired by the dazzling, dappled light of the seaside.

Steven Jones was born in 1959 and grew up in a small beautiful village in North Wales.  He was inspired by his surroundings and started to sketch and paint at an early age, by the age of 10 he won his first national painting competition. Steven went on to study graphic design and illustration and a week after graduating his painting "Lady Diana" was chosen for a double page spread in Woman's Realm.  Steven worked for many clients including BBC Publications, Readers Digest, Collins Books, Daily Mail, Sunday Telegraph, Golf Monthly, TV Times, Barclays Bank, Lloyds Bank, Lancia Cars, Jaguar Cars, Start-Rite shoes, Wall`s ice cream and Securicor. He also completed 12 paintings for a BP Calendar and a film poster for "Christmas Carol".

After moving back to his roots in North Wales, he started his own Art Gallery in Felinheli where he sold his paintings, limited edition prints and greeting cards. His paintings have sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams and in 2010, he published his first Illustrated book, "The Anglesey Coastal Path" .

His giclee prints, greetings cards and originals sell throughout Britain and on the coastlines of Florida, California and the Algarve. The Harrods of Knightsbridge gallery have also exhibited his work. He has completed a painting commission of Scott Quinell`s children for his 30th birthday and he has sold paintings to Bryn Terfel, Rebecca Evans, Dafydd Wigley and Dafydd Iwan, His work has been featured on the Sioe Celf and Wedi 7 TV programmes on S4C.

Two of a Kind is a Signed Limited Edition Canvas Print with an edition size of just 100. The artwork shows two young girls in their summer dresses paddling in the sea.
