Ben Jeffery - Evening Light

This week we are delighted to bring you a new Signed Limited Edition Print from the artist Ben Jeffery, titled Evening Light. This brand new release features a beautiful blonde young woman fastening her shoe. She is sat by the window and the light cast over her is simply exquisite.  This artwork is a giclee on canvas and is a low edition of just 75 worldwide.

Ben Jeffrey is a huge talent for such a young man, he was born in 1986 in north London. He first discovered an interest in art when his Grandfather introduced him to the work of John Varley, the renowned 18th Century watercolour artist. He then went on to study art at school, art college and University where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree. During this time Ben developed his technique through trial and error, trying new ways of controlling the paint.

Working in both pencil and oils Ben Jeffery's work is diverse, his subject matters are varied from beautiful landscapes to powerful portraits. He loves working with vivid, bright colours to create unique and modern style paintings. Ben works with a basic composition in mind and then the painting evolves as he paints, on other occasions he visualises an image in his head and quickly sketches it out. His paintings are normally produced in stages, the first being to paint the entire canvas in a base colour. after this has dried he paints the second layer adding more and more detail. Once the painting is done he leaves it for a day or two before taking another look and making any amendments.
