We are delighted to unveil three stunning new Signed Limited Edition Prints from internationally renowned artist, Mark Demsteader.
Mark has spent the past twenty years honing his craft, producing clean Neo-modernist figurative works and becoming of one the most distinctive artists on the mainstream art market today. In recent times he has been cited as being "one of Britain’s best-selling figurative painters" by the Daily Telegraph, and in 2011 his series of original studies of actress Emma Watson graced the pages of Vogue. The collection was an instant sell-out and raised thousands of pounds for charity.
Mark Demsteader was born in 1963 in Manchester where he still lives and works. He studied at Rochdale College and Oldham College and The Slade School of Art in London. Mark's work has developed from a fascination with the human form and an obsession with classical themes. These influences are seen in recent paintings where his close observation combines with surface texture and composition to create beautiful and powerful representations of the human body. He spent many years studying the figure at life drawing classes where he developed his unique style.
Mark's awards include The Public Eye Award, The Lyceum Prize and The Sidney Andrews Scholarship. Mark Demsteader is now one of the country's most recognisable and collected figurative artists.
The three new prints have been carefully put together in collaboration with Mark, adhering to his specific stipulations for both materials and technical specifications. We have selected Bethany out of the new editions as this week's Artwork of the Week. The artwork is powerful with its clean and assured lines and although isolated in the picture, the model seems to live and breathe. This Signed Limited Edition Print is limited to 50 copies worldwide. All prints are Conservation float mounted, hinged and presentation wrapped. All mounted items are hard-backed with conservation board, and complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
