The weather was so lovely this weekend we wanted to bring a bit of sunshine to your home. This week’s Artwork of the Week is Elie Summer by Lin Pattullo. The artwork features a beautiful coastal town in Scotland. Elie is gathered around a curve of golden sand, the harbour, established in the 16th century, is popular with yachts while the surrounding bay is popular with windsurfers and bathers. Lin is attracted to bright colours and the interaction of light and shade are very important in her work. This artwork is available at Union Art as a Signed Limited Edition Print with a total edition size of 195. Each print comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Lin Pattullo is a successful Scottish artist who exhibits her work regularly in galleries throughout Scotland and in London and the west of England. She is a versatile painter who can turn her skilful hand to figurative work as well as landscapes, seascapes, urban scenes and still life’s. There is a subtlety in colour, tone and composition in her work.
Lin is an elected member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists (GSWA) and the Paisley Art Institute (PAI). She has exhibited many times at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts (RGI) and the Royal Scottish Academy. She holds the Lauder Award at the GSWA, the Neville Award at the PAI and the J Trever & Webster Award at the RGI. Lin Pattullo’s work is in private and corporate collections including the Dunfermline Building Society and HRH Prince Charles.
