An Architect, Painter and Furniture Designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh was many years ahead of his time. His art is highly collected and his designs for buildings such as the Glasgow School of Art and House for an Art Lover have bought him lasting fame and much retrospective praise. He met the artist Margaret Macdonald, who was to become his wife in 1893. They married in 1900.
