A Dumbarton born artist, now living in Cardross, Dunbartonshire. Joyce Borland attended day classes at the Glasgow School of Art for a number of years, under the tuition of Peter Howson, David Linley and Norrie Kirkham. Prefers to work in acrylics or water-based mediums.
Joyce Borland exhibits with the Glasgow Society of Women Artists, Helensburgh, Bearsden and Milngavie Art Clubs, Paisley Art Institute, and galleries throughout Scotland. Works have been exhibited by the Royal Glasgow Institute, the Scottish Artists and Artist Craftsmen in Edinburgh, and with the Laing Art Exhibition in the Mall Galleries, London. Prizewinner Art Exposure Gallery Mayfest Exhibition 1996. Winner Gregor Ian Smith Award Bearsden Art Club.
