Sam Dolman

Sam Dolman is an artist specializing in oil paintings of animals. Being based in the Peak District offers him countless opportunities to photograph nature. Spending time with animals is often more enjoyable than the actual painting process!

The personality of each animal is always the most important thing to capture. Often with a humorous twist, he hopes to share his perception of the animal world with the viewer.

Sam Dolman has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with numerous publications and awards both here in the UK and Internationally. Most recently he received a ‘highly commended’ in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year award and came runner-up in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year. His work is mainly sold in the US and UK but he has collectors as far afield as Australia and New Zealand.
