Sheila MacLeod Robertson studied art at Watford and the Central School London, but now lives in Edinburgh.
Works in both oil and watercolour with a particular interest in light and atmosphere of the Scottish sea coasts including the Hebridies.
Became a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the St. Ives Society of Artists in 1969. Her work has been exhibited by the R.O.I., R.S.M.A., R.I. and S.W.A. and many galleries in Britain and abroad including private collections worldwide.
To increase her knowledge of weather and sea conditions around the Hebrides, she has taken part in a number of sailing expeditions and has painted from the deck of a sixty-five foot ketch and ashore on remote islands.
